To be successful as a computer systems analyst, you will need to continually upgrade your skills and knowledge to keep pace with the constant change in technology. Start preparing in high school and take as many chemistry, physics, mathematics and science classes as you can with electives on the high school endorsement track.
To get a job as a computer systems analyst, you need at least a bachelor's degree with emphasis in computer science, information systems, or management information systems, and a broad knowledge of a variety of computer systems and technologies. The most marketable computer systems analysts also have a background in another discipline - such as business management, accounting, physics, or engineering - which helps with specialized applications in specific business functions.
